Hey everybody.
Tommy is not gonna be there tonight so I thought I would send a
few lines to everyone who is interested in riding with us tonight to come on
out. Brent David will get the
kitchen fired up around 6 and we will try to head out to serve our brothers and
sisters at around 8. All you need is a bike, a helmet, and a backpack.
Vacation season is upon us and I realize some folks are out of
town and won't be able to get out. Please keep our mission in your thoughts as
we ride out tonight to help those less fortunate than us.
As the temperatures are getting up there we are finding ourselves
giving out quite a bit of water. If you happen to see it on sale somewhere
please grab a case. We could use it.
Tonight we will meet at our regular scheduled time and
place: 7:30 PM at FUMC, 204 N Second St, Memphis, TN 38105. If you would like to
help with preparing some burritos, Brent will get started in the kitchen around
6:00 PM. We will roll out around 8:00 and return around 9:30 or 10:00. If you
plan on riding with us I look forward to seeing you and serving with you. If
you are joining us for the first time all you need to bring is a bike, helmet,
backpack, and a giving spirit. Try to remember to put some flashing lights on
your bikes. You can purchase front and rear flashers at any bike shop or
sporting goods store. These lights allow motorists to see us and it also allows
our friends on the streets to see us and know we are near.
Again, we hope to see you tonight and if you can't make it,
please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
