Happy Earth Day Friends!
Last week we distributed 8 sleeping mats/blankets to our friends on the streets. The significance in this was the material they were manufactured out of. A friend of UBFM member, Matt Nason, spends time crocheting plastic grocery bags together to make sleeping mats. It takes 700 bags to make one mat and it takes approximately 2 days to complete. Cindy Thomas manufactured and graciously donated a bunch of these mats to UBFM so we could distribute them to people on the streets. This is such a great thing to do and a great way to celebrate Earth Day!
Peace
