Good day to you UBFM!
I apologize for being a little behind on the regular post
and update. I hope you all were able to view our story on channel five last
Wednesday or Sunday. It was great! Thanks to Lauren Ready for coordinating
that. Also, if you were unable to make it last week you can catch up on the
amazing night by reading the blog on UBFM.org.
An amazing night it most certainly was. An astounding group
of people came together to serve in the community. Just thinking about it produces
a tear in my eye. Since the response was so amazing we have a loads of supplies
left over to distribute. I hope to get a lot of that done tonight. It may not
be too cold at the moment here in Memphis but from what I understand that is
about to change. It looks like the temp will plummet in the next couple of
days. Let's be sure to take care of our brothers and sisters who are without
shelter. We currently have enough coats and jackets to insulate an army.
Tonight will be an ideal time to distribute them.
We will meet at our normal time and location: my door will
be open at 6:30 PM if you would like to show up early for preparation. We will
load up at 7:30 PM and try to roll out at 8:00. We will most likely return
around 10:00 PM. If you are interested in joining us tonight all you need is a bicycle,
helmet, backpack, and a spirit for giving. In distance, the ride usually comes
to 12-15 miles with frequent stops.
We meet here:
124 Roberta Dr.
Memphis Tn 38112
If you are planning on joining us tonight I look forward to
seeing you and serving with you. If you are unable I ask that you send us some
prayers for safety and guidance. Spread the word of our mission! Tell people
who we are and what we do. Thank you all for the help. If you are donating,
riding, making food, talking about us, or praying for us you are a big part of
this organization. Thank you ALL!
Peace
