Greetings
my friends fellow UBFM’rs!
Last
weekend we had a great event with BreakFest 901. I want to thank all of you
that came out and supported the event. Big thanks to Christin Yates and Andy
Wells for coordinating an awesome event and inviting UBFM to be part of it. I
also want to thank all of the loyal UBFM members that came out to volunteer and
make the event possible. You all are wonderful!
I
want to remind you that UBFM will be at the BCB 100 Century ride this Saturday.
We need some volunteers for this event.
We will be hosting a SAG stop on the route and we will be at the Start/Finish
providing info for our regular rides.
We
will load up tonight at 7:30 and ride out at 8:00 we will return around 9
-9:30. We meet at the Carpenter's House, same location as the FUMC (see below).
If you would like to help prepare burritos, we will start in the kitchen of
FUMC at 6:30.
We
will also meet on Saturday morning at 7:30am to load up and roll out at 8:00.
We will return around 9:00. If you would like to help out in the kitchen we
start cooking at 7:00am. The meeting location is the same as the Wednesday
night ride.
Also,
I want to remind you that we have some new volunteer opportunities on Wednesday
nights. Of course we start to cook at 6:00pm and we are always in need of
volunteers in the kitchen. Now, we are in need of volunteers to help out in the
Carpenter’s House, working the clothing closet and visiting with the guests
that arrive early. If you are interested in helping out with these efforts,
arrive at the Carpenter’s House at 6:00pm. If you want to be part of UBFM but
you don’t do the bike thing, this is for YOU!
