Greetings
and happy October!
I
hope you all are having a great week and enjoying some beautiful weather. My
favorite time of the year is approaching and I look forward to some good UBFM
rides in the near future. Be mindful that the needs for UBFM change with the
weather. Keep an eye on the list below.
I
would like to thank everybody that helped out with the BCB 100. It was a great
event and well coordinated. The participants inspired several people including
myself to ride in it next year.
We
will load up tonight at 7:30 and ride out at 8:00 we will return around 9
-9:30. We meet at the Carpenter's House, same location as the FUMC (see below).
If you would like to help prepare burritos, we will start in the kitchen of
FUMC at 6:30.
We
will also meet on Saturday morning at 7:30am to load up and roll out at 8:00.
We will return around 9:00. If you would like to help out in the kitchen we
start cooking at 7:00am. The meeting location is the same as the Wednesday
night ride.
Soon
we are making some changes to the way we organize and structure our Wednesday
night gatherings. As I have explained, there are some other volunteer
opportunities on Wednesday night. We need volunteers to show up at 6:30pm to
help take care of the needs of our guests at the Carpenter’s House. If you are
interested in volunteering but you do not ride a bike this is your chance to
help.
