Greetings and Happy Monday UBFM!

I trust this Facebook post to find you in the middle of a marvelous Monday. I am currently ogling out of office window to see an enormous amount of rainfall. I can’t complain about the rain but it forbids me to go outside and play, therefore drives me insane.

Moving right along, last Wednesday was great! Many people came together to make a night of giving possible. A small crowd of 16 pedaling disciples came together to distribute 230 burritos, 50 ham and cheese rolls, 50+ PB & Js, 30 boxes of granola bars, and 8 cases of bottled water via bicycle. I want to thank all of the food preps and cooks that donated so much time and food to the ministry. You all are a gigantic blessing. Also, many thanks go to the cheerful givers that donate time, effort, supplies, fellowship, love, and prayers. This organization is sustained because of you ALL.

I am quite excited about this week’s ride. Let us hope and pray that the weather is good to us. I have yet to look at the forecast because it will most likely be inaccurate (so it has been for the recent week). When has the weather slowed us down, anyway? If you are planning on making burritos and/or supplies let me know if I need to come retrieve them from you. If that is not necessary and you would like to drop off provisions, please give me a call: 931-703-7542. If you, your family, church group, circle of friends, etc. would like to get together for a giving project we can always use extra food and materials. All it takes is black/refried beans, rice, cheese, on a large tortilla, and wrapped in foil. However, feel free to add your own unique recipe. Some volunteers have added meat to their burritos. Last week a large load of ham and cheese rolls was donated. These went over quite well.

The routine will be the same this week as it always is. For those who would like to show up early for bike maintenance and/or shoot the breeze my door will be open at 6:30. We will load up at 7:30 and role out at 8:00 (with any flexibility as needed).  We hope to have everybody back for fellowship and snacks at 10:00 PM.

For all who plan on riding with us, I look forward to seeing you and serving with you. For those who are unable to make it, I ask that you send us some prayers of safety, guidance, and that we may be seen as a bright light in our city. If not prayers, I ask that you spread the word of our efforts on Wednesday nights; allow people to know who we are and what we are doing. This might allow the drivers to see us a little better J. Many thanks and blessing to you all!

Peace
